My Preliminary Film
Preliminary Film
This is my preliminary film, it includes the 180degree rule, match on action and sound. It is about two people who haven't seen each other for a while and its the first day at a new school and they weren't expecting to see each other, but the reaction is unexpected, GOOD or BAD? find out for yourself by watching below:

A brief overview of the clip would be that Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) is in the hospital talking to his brother Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) who has been in a serious incident which is seen in the previous movies, it at first looks like a normal hospital and then he gives his brother a gun to protect himself when he wakes up from the coma. When Deckard Shaw starts to leave the hospital you can then see that something has happened as there are bodies everywhere and the ceiling is falling down; this then gives us the impression that Deckard Shaw was the one to cause this because when he is the leaving he throws a grenade and leaves just before the whole place goes up in flames, leaving him enough time to speed off in his undamaged car.
The key factor that makes it a good opening for the film is that we don't know why there is such a big destruction and what caused Shaw to be so angry; which means that we as the viewers would want to know the answers to the questions and therefore want to watch the whole film to find them.
The clip intrigues the audience as it reveals the soft side of the villain in the film, shows you that is soft spot is for his brother and that he will go to any length to protect him and get revenge. It also shows that he is nice deep, deep, deep, deep down and that creates a sense of sympathy for the character and makes the viewers in a way connect with him and realise that he does have feelings.
The personalities of the character show that he has the power in the film as he is stood with a broad stance and powerful stance, he also doesn't wears dark clothes which could represent that he is mysterious and hiding from something or someone.
It has a tense overlay of sound which creates a sense of doom, and suspense. This shows that something bad will happen, but we don't know who to.
I would say the thing that made me feel that it was the best would be that there is a lot of suspense and action and the fear of not knowing.
